Working Principle Dräger Impactor
Air flow passes through a plate with 20 spray holes (1).
Then the air flow is deflected by 90° and because of this the aerosol particles which are slow due to their mass - do not follow and deposit on the glass plate (2).
The deposited parts on the ground glass (2) are filled up by the oil causing a lightscattering.
This principle enables the visual detection of very small quantities of oil.
